The second largest canine
in the Canadian province Nova Scotia and the largest in Great Britain
is the Red Fox. Although seperate populations they belong to one and
the same species. Tracks of canines can be recognized from cat tracks
by the footprint that always leaves marks of the non-retractable claws.

From a distance this fox
was observing the
intruder of its territory for several minutes after crossing its trail,
North River, CBH.
